Quality Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Coordinator is primarily responsible for development, maintenance and execution of  the company’s quality systems, SOP’s, and compliance to regulatory requirements. 

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Develop and Maintain ISO Certification – Drive development of SOP’s and Process flows

  • Maintain Nemco QMS, Customer-specific QMS’s, & develop new Customer-specific QMS’s A/R’d

  • Develop and Maintain SDS

  • Supervise & Coordinate all Lab Activities including On-Site and through3rd Party Suppliers

  • Supervise & Coordinate all Plant Activities relating to Quality

  • Develop and Liaise with Supplier and Customer Quality Contacts

  • Maintain & schedule Equipment Calibration (scales, API tanks, Weights & Measures pumps)

  • Identify and Pursue other Initiatives that Support Continuous Improvement

  • Enforce Quality system adherence and Regulatory Compliance

  • Uphold Overall Company Values

  • Coordinate with Production Scheduling, Purchasing, Administration, Sales & Customer Service, Accounting, Maintenance and Management

  • Conduct and record regular facility / quality audits to ensure quality and process compliance

  • Act as lead liaison with all regulatory bodies (API, Transport Canada, Manitoba Conservation etc.)

  • Act as lead Auditee for ISO and Customer Audits 

  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Investigate / report / recommend Corrective Actions for Non-Conformances of product quality – internally and with external Customers

  • Assist with Safety / Environmental investigations pertaining to non-conformances in WI’s, Process Maps / Procedures

  • Development and maintenance of all Quality related documents (QF & QR Forms, Process Maps, System Procedures, Work Procedures, Safe Work Practices, Quality Guidelines) 

  • Ensure all company policies and operating procedures including quality and health & safety guidelines are always followed. 

  • Lead Quality Program and lead maintenance of all regulatory certifications

  • Provide training to operational staff in process compliance and process development

  • Engage with customers and other stakeholders with reference to Non-Compliance issues

  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: College diploma in Quality Control or related field

Qualification:

  • ISO 9001 – 2015 

  • ISO / Customer Audits experience, at the lead Auditee level

  • SDS Program management experience

  • PDS Program experience

  • TDG Experience an asset

  • Consumer Chemicals & Containers Regulations, Hazardous Products Act & Regulations, Consumer Packaging & Labelling Regulations experience an asset

  • FMEA & Risk Assessment experience an asset

  • Chemicals and Lubricants knowledge / experience an asset

  • Obtain & Maintain Relevant Knowledge (QMS, CCCR, Sage, PDS, SDS, etc.)

Language: Fluent in English, spoken and written
