Production Supervisor

Primary Function : 

 

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the fulfillment of customer and stock orders through design and execution of a production schedule, procurement plan, resource planning and stocking plan that ensures on time and in full delivery of orders as well as creating ample stock for future requirements. 

 

Core Competencies : 

 

3 – 5 years Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated abilities to coach, mentor, motivate, and lead teams.

 

Duties : 

 

  • Create and execute production plans directed at successful fulfillment of customer orders and stock requirements 
  • Direct production processes with a focus on efficiency and deadlines 
  • Allocate labour to tasks as required in collaboration with Production Lead / Production Planner 
  • Oversee and advise Procurement staff on material needs for plant activities 
  • Support and promote GMP, Quality Initiatives, and Safety Policies and Procedures 
  • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance program 
  • Promote and assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System 
  • Uphold Overall Company Values 
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : 

 

Training: 

Specialization in operations management, industrial mechanics or another related field.

 

Experience:

5 to 7 years' experience in production management in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
